This is going to be short and sweet but I wanted everyone to know that I went to the Mont St. Michel today and absolutely fell in love.. I'm gonnq have to pick and choose which pictures to upload to facebook because I'm SURE you dont want to see all 75 pictures i took JUST FROM THE OUTSIDE lol.
I DID decide to go on to Bayeux; I get in at 11 on Saturday and leave at 8 am on sunday.. just enough time to see the tapestry. IM SO EXCITED. I should be home in Ste Maxime by dinner time sunday night. I don't have to teach until Thursday, sooooo I guess I will just relax for three days.
FYI, did you know that Tours is supposed to have the purest french accent in all of France? I believe it too because it was so EASY to understand everyone there.. especially our castle tour guide who I ended up charming. I rode up front with him the way home and we talked in French bout musicians and learning foreign languages.. he encouraged me to not be hesitant about speaking french to native french speakers and to not be so hard on myself about making errors. He even offered to give me his email in case I ever wanted to ask a french person a question who wouldnt judge me.... aawww.. he is my new friend.
might get a Fleur de Lis tattoo.... ok ok not really... but if I were to ever get a tattoo.. I decided that is what it would be...Aaron, you would love that huh? If I got a tattoo? lol
Special shout out to Mom and Dad who should be off somewhere celebrating Mom's birthday. Loveyou guys!! Thanks for encouraging me to go to Bayeux.

Get the tattoo! Who knows, I might have a SURPRISE for you when you get home. You said that you would still love me regardless, right? I still get to walk you down the aisle?
RépondreSupprimerGlad you are charming the pants off some French, well, not literally but you hear what I am screaming. Have a safe trip home (St. Maxine). Love you lots!!!
Iam so thrilled you went on to Bayeux! Just continue to take lots of pictures. We had a GREAT time, went on to Gatlinurg cause the colors were so beautiful! Now we are back home. I actually HIKED to Laurel Falls. Yea, I know it is paved, but it was still awfully steep, and I made it, even if I did fall down once on the way back down. But there were no complications from it. Didn't take a single picture--the camera woud just not do the colors justice. They are in my memory. Check your email, going to send you a web site for your Master Bedding possibly?
RépondreSupprimerI'm SO glad you liked Mont St Michel--isn't it just magical? I'm hoping while you were in Tours you got to go to the Place Plumereau. I meant to tell you to go there (it's just the Grand Place, but so charming!) but I've been busy with my mom in the hospital the last two weeks and forgot to write! I hope everything was great--let's skype and talk all about it soon!
RépondreSupprimerOh my god we should so get identical fleur de lys tattoos!! (PS - this is the first i've ever even remotely considered getting a tattoo)
RépondreSupprimerSo glad you went to Mont St Michel. And your Tours tour guide was totally hitting on you, btw.
