Ok so today, Linda and I woke up at 9 to get ready and go down to the bus stop to catch the 10 am bus to St. Raphael (the nearest city with a train station). Well I showered and broke the shower tube... so now, instead of water coming out the shower head, it comes out of a whole in the tube that connects to the shower head... oops.Well so anyways, we were late to the bus stop. Correction: we were on time, the bus must have been early, cause i swear we walked up at exactly 9:59. Soooooo... we decided to do our grocery shopping instead while we waited for the next bus which would come at 12:35. So we were productive, and i bought laundry detergent ** so all was right with the world.
We caught the bus to St. Raphael and went straight to the train station. We wanted to go today for two reasons: if you are under 25 ( i barely made the cut =( ) you can buy the 12-25 card for 48 euros which gets you some AWESOME discounts on train tickets. The second reason we went to St. Raphael was obviously to buy our train tickets to the Bretagne/ Normandy area for FRIIIDDAAAYYY!!! Our train ticket leaves out on 9:58 ish pm and we get into Paris at 7 am the next morning and then switch trains and get into Tours at 11 am Saturday morning. That train is alot longer than necessary but ... we get to travel and not have to pay for lodging at the same time =) After we left the train station, we took advantage of being in the "big city" and went into every clothing store we could find. I cant believe I am about to say this cause the French are supposed to be trendsetters in the fashion world, but really, french fashion just doesnt do it for me. Which I guess is good for my pocket book though, no?
We walked by a piercing place, and i swear that if it had been open ( which it wasnt cause french stores can just be open when they want to be) i seriously would have gotten my nose repierced. But i didn't... i'll know for next time =)
So anyways fast forward.. we get back and I'm at the laundry mat doing my laundry and I realize i didnt buy laundry detergent at all.. Nope.. i . bought. fabric softener. So 16 euros later, i have two loads of really soft, good smelling clothes that got tossed around in tempid water for 35 minutes... that's just as good as clean right? =)
Tomorrow is my first day of classes with the high schoolers. I have all four hours tomorrow, so that's good for me!! i hope i get along well with my teachers that i am working with... I can't imagine how the English teachers feel when we show up.. If I had a young 21-25 year old real live french person show up to my french classes, i would be terrified out of my wits!
Love to all!! Gros bisous!

You get something pierced? Never... Who would you have gotten that desire from in the family? Sorry about you laundry issues. Between that and you breaking your shower, you may not be clean the whole time you are over there. :)
