No electricity

so... this one might not be so action packed... but it was certainly humorous at the time.. so i feel the need to write a blog about it. Especially since i sorta slacked last week on writing blogs

Yesterday was LAZY DAY. I can't even remember doing anything exceptional until like 4. I think we made cinnamon toast for breakfast. Watched Love Actually ( trying to get into the Christmas spirit still) . Wanted to make the chocolate chip cookies Gigi sent me, but we were out of eggs, so we were sad that it was a sunday and couldnt go to the store to buy any. So, we played cards instead for like an hour. lol Erin is not doing too hot on the card playing.... i think he is down like 12-3. At 4, we decided we should probably get out ( despite the miserable cold-ness). So, we went to the port to watch the sunset. As we were makin our way around the tiny fishing boats, miracle of all miracles, we saw a little convenient store that was open. So we sprinted! Bought our eggs ( and some milk to wash the cookies down with) and headed back to the house to bake our yummy cookies. Afterwards, we decided to open up our stockings from each other, so we had our little "christmas" which made me happy.... oh yeah, and we sang christmas carols all the way home from buying our eggs.

This morning started out as lazy... until the electricity went out in the middle of cooking breakfast. and then it got cold. Real cold. So , i called my two favorite teachers ( and my landlord like a hundred times but HE never answered) and they were very sweet, but couldnt offer much information. SO, we grinned and bore it until about 4, and then we decided to get out and explore if other people's electricity was out. Went to the bank, the laundry mat to dry erin's socks that we had washed in the sink lol, and saw that everyone else's electricty was working. So i came home determined to figure it out... Erin fixed us PBJ'S cause the stove didnt work .. or the microwave for that matter... and while he was doing that I guess i flipped enough switches that FINALLY the electrcity came back on. ( and who said i wasn't electrically savvy? =))

The rest of the evening has progressed very well. We are all packed and ready to go tomorrow morning at 7 am. Madame Giordono called me and insisted that she take us to the train station tomorrow (just in case) so we are leaving here at 7. Wish us luck tomorrow... we are "sneaking" on to several trains i think. well, Erin is. I'm not.

Ok well i need to get to bed, Tomorrow will be a long day. I;m just glad we have electricity tonight so i can make my "final preparations". Ok well love to all and Gros Bisous!
