so apparently I have been neglecting my blog writing responsibilities... but its just that i dont really even have anything to say.
I DIDNT go to Aix this weekend cause it wouldnt have been worth my time. So no puppy for Becca =( Instead, I went to Elena's on saturday night and spent the night with her. We had a great time telling eachother all bout our vacations and we went and ordered a pizza... and came back and watch the Princess and the Frog.. which i think is in theatres now or .. at least is in Europe, but Europeans steal movies over here like crazy. So, we watched that, and then woke up the next morning and had a lazy morning til i came back around 3. By that time, Linda and Graham had already left for Nice for the night, cause Grahams flight was leaving the next day. So, he's gone and things are back to normal
Yesterday and today have been very uneventful. I went to the grocery store and probably spent more money than i should have on pretty much anything meat I could find. I made my second corndog casserole with the cornbread mix my mom mailed me. I also made PB and hershey kiss cookies. I guess i have been spending more time than normal cooking in the kitchen, but when your bed is IN the kitchen, (sorta) its kinda easy to get motivated to make stuff. =) it's been fun and yummy. I CAN say that i have offically prety much learned how to cook now. I want a grill though.
Drama has been going on with the wedding stuff. The lady who was supposed to make erin's cake AND the DJ fell through, so we are having to deal with that. AND trying to make sure i have everyone's address for the wedding invitations. We already sent out the Save the Dates which is exciting ( a big thanks to Aaron and Mom!).. if you are reading this and DIDNT get a save the date, don't worry.. youre obviously still invited, but youre just so involved in my life that i figure youve prob memorized the date by now. (JUNE 26TH, BY THE WAY) YAYAYAYAYAYAY! 117 DAYS.
53 days til i come home. If i had my way, it would be 12. Just enough time to close out everything and make preparations to come home.... and mail a box full of stuff home. I only have to teach like 4 more weeks, anyways. Its not like id miss much =)and id get so much done if i came home now lol. Two weeks of my time here (first two weeks of april) will be vacation but im not going anywhere to try to save any money i possibly can. Then, i go back for ONE week of wrap-up and then i get to come home. There just seems to be so much going on right now at home.. and if i were there, it would make things alot easier on me...... and i could finally get my neck checked out which has been giving me so much freaking grief. I would also like to be there Especially for a VERY CLOSE friend of mine who is having some health issues and will be undergoing surgery in a couple of days. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers please. ok. no more negativity.
Apparently i am violently allergic to whatever has decided to bloom here. IT is getting pretty ridiculous, the amount of tissues i have gone through. I just sit here with my cross stitch in my lap and a pile of tissues forming at my feet. Literally that has been my life lately. lol, but im making fabulous progresson Erin's stocking. Ask Erin. or Mom. They've seen it via Skype. Today, I WAS motivated to finish filling out most of my online application for shelby county and I updated my resume. After I officially submit my application for Shelby County, my plan is to mail a copy of my resume to several private schools and just explain to them that I would have brought it by in person but that I am currently in France ( maybe that will make me look good) and wont be back til May 1st, but that i would LOVE to get together with them after that point to discuss any employment opportunities and to discuss everything that I have to offer to such a fine academic establishment such as ( fill in blank of said private schoool)... ok really i prob wont use those exact words but you get my drift. See? if i were home , i could be taking a more active role in finding a job for next year. lol ok I said i would stop.
I was SUPPOSED to go to a lady's house for lunch tomorrow, but the lady who was supposed to take me backed out, so now the dinner has been post-poned. Let's see... what else. I wanna make sure I keep those of you who asked me for a blog satisfied. uhhhhh.. our towels and dishes at macy's are like 75% off if you wanna go buy me a wedding present lol. I always get nervous when they go on drastic sale cause i get afraid they will be discontinued. Macy's always has sales though. One week, my BEAUTIFUL china coffee pot (which erin got mad at me for for registering for cause it was so expensive and according to him, had no good purpose )which normally is a ridiculous 250 dollars or somethinglike that (see? told ya erin was mad) was on sale for like 85. i dunno. Maybe Macy's is have ing an "end of winter "sale? although, apparently winter is still going on there. Erin said it was snowing some this morning. today it was a beautiful 24 degrees out (celsius).... but i was too afraid to go out too much cause of my allergies. I have claritin but it makes me droopy.
ok really that's all i got. Wish me luck. Love to all and gros bisous!

Thanks for the blog! have to have my Becca "Fix". Am typing this and talking to you at the same time! This is really unique. It does look like you are making great progress on Erin's stocking! I know it is hard, especially when things are not working out smoothly, and BOY DO I UNDERSTAND! Just seems like there is always a problem happening with something! Right now the clothes dryer is down, so there is another problem. So, there is life! I have just decided there is always something to deal with! But we learn to deal with whatever happens, just roll with the punches!
RépondreSupprimerHere's my second try. Take care of the allergies. Your counted cross stich is coming right along. I was looking over mom's shoulder when you showed it to her the other day. We miss you. But each day takes you closer to being home and being with Erin. love you so much.
RépondreSupprimerI didn't realize how much pressure you were under to stay on top of these lol...Hope your allergies start getting better and you are doing so great on the stocking...It looks awesome!! Love you!
RépondreSupprimerWell, it is about time you wrote something! :) Sorry I couldn't comment yesterday after asking for one. You know, for someone that starts out the blog with "Really don't have anything to say", you fill up the page quite nicely. Sorry that you aren't feeling good with your allergies. I remember you around the house and asking you if Erin has seen you like this b/c it is NOT attractive - ha...ha...
RépondreSupprimerThanks for a great blog and love you lots! AA
Hey Becca. Enjoying your Travelblog. Hope that you feel better.
RépondreSupprimerAaron is such a big brother!

Hey there! I do remember both of us having major allergy attacks when we were in London. Apparently our allergies are sensitve in other countries. I fly out tonight for Belgium. We have made no plans yet as to where/if we're traveling. I think we will go to Brussels for a day, but I know that's probably too far away for you to come just for a few hours! I wish I could see you! But you'll be home soon, so we'll get together then. I'm still loving reading your blog, so keep writing! Take the Claritin--droopy is better than wishing your nose would fall off your face! Tu me manques, mais je suis si fiere de toi! :) (I hope that was right, hablo solamente en espanol estos dias!)
RépondreSupprimerHey Love,
RépondreSupprimerTake your Claritin at night before bedtime. Salt water flushes through the sinuses will keep things cleaned out as well- a nettie pot is handy. You will breathe better and not sneeze so much. Everything else will turn up roses. You have to have a little fertilizer for beautiful roses. ;-) Love You.
