So I just got into Nice today. I had to leave the Hotel that i was staying at 7:00 am, and it was still dark there. Now that I have TWO pieces of luggage, things were getting pretty hard to manage,.. (my arm was shaking afterwards cause it hurt so bad to pull them) but I made it.. barely. Baguette in hand. The girl that I hung out with yesterday in Paris was actually on the same train as I was, but we both needed to catch up on some sleep , so we just each spread out on our own chairs and slept for the majority of the 5 hours train ride. When we got here, we took a taxi...we were too exhausted to try the buses.. and splitting a taxi is not bad. After we arrived here, it kind afelt like summer camp. All 100 of us... ( yes, i said 100- russian, german, english, and italian) are in a hostel. My room has four bunk beds.. so im sharing this room with 7 other girls. Im exhausted though, so i may try to go on to bed.. alot of people went out and did stuff. Not me. The majority of the assistants are fresh out of college.. so like 21 or 22. im definately the old fart.. but no one knows it... No one has guessed over 22 for my age. Anyways, tomorrow should be pretty uneventful. we just have orientation from like 815 til 4 or 5. Yuck. I may try to go out and find a cell phone to buy tomorrow.. If so, I will tell you all about that.. just in case you ever want to buy a french cell phone. =)
Bonsoir!

Thanks! I am so grateful for your detailed blogs. They are certainly interesting; but also it gives me a good idea what my sweetie pie is doing. Dad's need to hear that every once in a while. Mom and I were talking at lunch today about how proud we are of you. My word was "admired". Proud and admiring is how I think of you and your great adventure. You are a "corker"... i.e. wonderfully impressive. As always our love. Daddy.
RépondreSupprimerSounds like you are getting more and more acclimated to your surroundings, and that is great. In just a few more days, you will have a routine down and feel comfortable everywhere you go. I am so happy for you and proud of you. You dare to make your dreams come true. Thanks for all the info; I feel like I am a cricket on your shoulder taking it all in with you. Keep on keeping on!!:)Mom
RépondreSupprimerHey Old Fart -
RépondreSupprimerSounds like Nice is real nice. Sorry to hear about the luggage. Hope you wore your backback high like I showed you. :) Enjoy the slow days and good luck with the cell phone. I bet this is one phone plan where you are not worried about minutes. Since Mom and Dad have the proud and admire words taken, I will tell you to keep it up, have fun, and go enjoy a french bottle of wine. Love you...
