- Le Musee D'Orsay ( and I convinced the lady to let me in for FREE.. which is something only the actual French get, but because i had a French Visa and I spoke such beautiful French =), she let me in for free as well)
- La Bastille (doesnt really exist any more but there is a very tall statue in it's place)
- Les Deux Magots ( i didn't actually eat there... just took a picture.. buts its famous because writers like Prevert and Hemingway and Sartre and de Beauvoir used to go there) Thanks to Megan Neuser who actually told me about this place last semester during our fabulous chats
- Le Moulin Rouge i couldnt afford a ticket really... and i didnt want to go by myself... because at this point, i had separated off from my new friends.. but once again, i took pictures- kind of a sketchy area of town- i won't lie.
- LE SACRE COEUR!!! i have been wanting to see this place for FOREVER... its on the highest natural point in the city and has awesome views of Paris. i went at sunset so it was beautiful... it's a church, so I went in and had a few words with God before I left. The only negative i would have to say about it was there are lots of people there waiting to hassle tourists...so that sucked.
The best news of all: i got my luggage back! The guy at the front desk surprised me with it when i got home tonight.. we're friends! He speaks only French to me.. even though i know he speaks english cause i heard him talking to this other couple in english! He told me i needed to come eat breakfast before i leave tomorrow for Nice. That is ONE thing that i need to get better about,,, i tend to forget to eat, Mostly cause i dont want to eat alone. and i probably walked 20 miles today... so My Europe Wedding Diet is off to a great start!
Ok well I leave tomorrow morning at 746 to go to Nice...luckily, my new language assistant friend is on the same train. Once i get there, though, i am not sure where and when I will be able to access WiFi. So my next few posts may be very short if they happen at all.
Love you all!! and if I have time, I will upload the pictures I took today on my facebook, so check that out as well!
